NON SERVIAM

"Peter denied his Master...He did well!"

-Baudelaire

Throughout the course of civilized human history, no other societal role has disgusted me more than that of the servant. One may say that such a role is now defunct. But today, more than ever, we exist in a collective of subservience. Our laws and moral obligations work to suppress our drive towards total freedom. Submission comes in a variety of forms, all of which are offensive. There is the political servant, who pines and grovels over the rulers of the world seeking recognition by the state. There is the religious servant, who follows the will of God, or a multitude of other Gods in order to find some semblance of heaven. There is the humanist servant, who does everything possible to further perpetuate the existence of mankind to be remembered and loved by the rest of the dogs.

Now, one must recognize that actions that are in the interests of others do not necessarily have to fall under the category of servitude. The protester who fights against the state within the confines of the law is subservient to the state. The protester who fights against the state with indiscriminate action and functions outside of the law is not subservient.
The only way to break free of servitude is to bring subversion into every facet of one's attitude. The purpose behind an action, and the way it is carried out all work for or against bringing the definition of servitude to said action.
If you want to take your anger out on an individual, exert your will and do as you please!
Only through that honest expression will you truly be a free individual working towards your own goals.
If you don't believe something is right, speak out and let your voice be heard regardless of the consequences! Why should you censor what you truly believe in? If anybody has a problem with it, it's their problem not yours.

Lies are enemies of truth. Be truthful, be honest. Total honesty is freedom. Be free in thought and action.
